Knock to be Heard

I Knock to be heard
Talk to Say
Walk with a Rhythm that matches my day.
Livin My life.
Giving to find
Anyone with mind
Mind the truth
Mind the pain
My rhyme is the only one to say.
Beauty is here, even in fear
Don't doubt the mirror

Too kind to do kind.
So I smile with my frown.
Stay Lookin down
to Unravel the Crown
Mysteries peek at gods feet,
to that the bleak look to meet
running from high sound

Yet, we stay put.
Hyped and Smooth
Sitting in the bright circles with the dim lights
like stars on a hazy night
Ending Like the Beginning
So the beginning can remind you of the ending
We knock to be Heard
talk to say.but sometimes things just get away

Introduction to the Room...

How do I say to the room that I have entered? but with a whisper of the toes.
My hearts conveys friendship and my smile does it once more.

I don't know how I found this room. but it bore a moment we both share.
Connections in the betweens, weaving back and forth.

such as love on a blossom or a sorry now drown out.
The Complications are welcoming, so the door never shuts.

Anticipation in my thinking and now I miss her touch.
So as the toes whispered gently in. Steps shout, now left behind.
Leaving space with forward progress for those forgotten to come in mind.

Still We Rise

Another legislative session is about to pass, full of ignorance and greed. With withered men trying to take a swing at accomplished civilities, but when the night hits the sun tomorrow like our parents before us hearts beating to a determined drum, Still we rise.

When enforcements is kept to look for villains by the color of their skin and when hard-working families are torn apart because we live in a society where nine numbers alone prove your acceptance into society. We rise like the dreams of a fallen father. Who could see through barriers of social acceptance to have children of many backgrounds sit at one table? The fabled American dream is not a prescribed reality but because we can dream we can bring this thing too see, and with it We Rise.

As memories grow old of those who took to the street, young women and men are reminded of political deceit with conservative talk leading to even less for our kids to eat. With the money gone to keep roofs and sheets we are still fed messages of worthlessness trying to end us in defeat. But as in the past a fist closed with pride to echo the torments of all those living dry. We rise, We rise.

A long gone public option for healthcare leaves us no help here, but who the hell cares? When drunken policemen are taking shots, and District Attorneys are making young boys hit the cell block. Forcing young mothers to develop a spark not for education, but to burn what dignity remains. She lives within a system of haze that pulls her lovers away. The ones remaining on the street will lift another burden and carry on for those now departed. Feet moving with tried souls. Step on, Step on. We rise even though we are forced to fall.

We have to stop and breathe because politicians aren’t the only ones who pollute our streets. Corporations making our neighborhoods their backdrop of refuse, but we refuse to continue to die slow deaths for your exploded profits. As the two work conjoined to lynch our hearts and steal our thoughts from progress. We rise.

We rise for the student who works against all odds to stand for an equal education. We rise for the family that fought to live an American dream and despite the realities continued to contribute to a society that did not accept them. We rise for those in our communities who have lost jobs and benefits, but still live doing what is right even though doors of opportunity are closing. We rise because we are the sons and daughters of those who believed in you and despite the betrayals, despite the torments, this is our home. We rise for those who live in silence, scared to bring their struggle to light. We rise because you may take us off our feet, but our spirit you can never keep. We rise because we believe, even though we all do not see us falling. We feel us falling and we rise to preemptively greet you with a heeded respect you do not grant us. We rise to declare our rights to a system that says it believes certain unalienable right, but may have forgotten how to practice this.

Birth and Consumption

Hanging on a ledge with thoughts of giving in carrying more and more weight. Just wondering one question, if I don't have the strength to hold me then who is going to care about those still waiting below?

So I keep on liftin. Feelin the pressure relieving as I make company who thinks about the same treat. As I go now we follows. Movin from edge to edge daring the height to try our might. Yellin loud that one day we will take even the clouds.

But as all this goes, now I only wonder if the vantage point we seek to meet will have dropped as we reach the peak. Cuz the many who still wait at the feet. Still have yet to take that first leap. So I stop to think I should have fell long ago. Next step, leap.

Hand in Hand with another grasping the same plan. As we fall goes another chance, but at least two now have held romance before they reach to heaven in a low stance. Where we land another blooms and looks to the sky wondering from where will I be consumed?

Blue Skyed Lie...

Blue Majesty reigns

far above the reach of misty mountain tops

calls me to reach high

touch my cloud lined dress

kiss my sun dried face

feel the greatness of my position

Yet, Not I look//

For I wish to rise above the sky

To go beyond the stars and nebula's

No longer confined to the blue eyed lie

Just another speck in eternal solitude

Free from betrayal by a blue sky death

Blue sky the roof of my torment

So why would I only dream so high?

I wish not to be free as a bird caged in a blue backdrop

But free from the injustice the blue sky birthed

granted breath by the blue sky, but not in any debt

I am not a man of the sea, the earth, or the sky

I am a man eternal, alive

My thoughts are free

They reach far from my stature, far from the height of birds

beyond our sun and beyond the constellations

To heaven they run.
